IWAA Monroe Walleye Tournament Results

Indiana Walleye Anglers Association

Memebers of the IWAA gathered at the camp grounds at the Paynetown Recreational Area on June 11 for a weekend of walleye fishing. After high temperatures and more than enough sun and boat traffic during Saturdays prefishing, memebers gathered around the camp fire for a walleye fish fry and pitch-in dinner. After a cool nights rest at the camp grounds they woke Sunday for tourney day.

Sunday anglers were greeted with heavy winds and more sunshine. The walleye bte was spuratic but were biting. The average fish brought to the scales was 16 inches with one nice 22-inch walleye taking big fish honors. At weigh in, father and son teams again shined.

Mark and Luke Isaacs took top honors along with big fish. Michael and Jacob Parks placed second. With falling water levels from up 5 foot on tourney day, high boat traffic, anglers were still pleased with the catches. Next stop is Prarie Creek Reservoir for the final regular season event.
